How do I upload and display my photos on FotoSports.com?
Go to the Photographers section of our website and log-in (if you don’t have a user name and password you will need to register to obtain one), then select the ’Add a New Gallery’ link. You will have three options for the type of gallery your are upload: ’FTP & Web’ - this option sends your full-res files to our lab in addition to placing a gallery on the website; ’FTP Only’ - this option sends your full-res files to our lab without placing a gallery on the website; and ’Web Only’ - place a gallery on the website only.
Can I password protect my galleries?
Yes. When uploading a gallery you will see a field for adding a passcode. This feature is optional, so you only need to add it to the galleries you desire.
Can I upload photos to you without having them placed in a gallery on the website?
Yes. Simply select ’FTP Only’ in the ’Type’ menu when adding a new gallery. This will send your full-res photos to our FTP server without adding a gallery to our website.
What are my costs for using FotoSports.com to post and sell my photos?
You are charged our wholesale product prices plus 15% of the sales.
Can I set my own pricing?
Yes. In fact you MUST set your prices. You can set default pricing for all your jobs, or you can set pricing on a per job basis.
Does FotoSports still accept film?
Yes. We prefer the use of Kodak Portra film, but will accept any professional film. WE ONLY ACCEPT PROFESSIONAL FILMS. We accept all film sizes and standard negative formats from 35mm to 120/220. We do not accept any type of 35mm bulk-loaded film.
How will I be paid for photos sold on FotoSports.com?
You will be paid the total sale amount less our wholesale product cost, and the 15% fee charged by FotoSports. As an example: if you sold an 8 x 10" for $15.00, we would withhold $2.00 (our 8 x10" price) plus $2.25 (15% of $15). You would receive $10.75.
When will I be paid?
Checks will be mailed by the 15th of every month for the prior month’s sales.
Does FotoSports deduct money owed to me from my wholesale invoice?
No. We will send you a check for the amount of your sales less our costs.
Are users able to download photos from my galleries?
No and Yes. We have disabled the ability to right-click and download photos from the galleries. However, there is no absolute way to prevent an advanced computer user from getting the photo if they really want it. As further protection, all photos uploaded to the galleries receive a watermark.
What are your shipping charges on my wholesale jobs?
Orders of $500 or more are shipped via standard UPS ground at no charge. Orders less than $500 or COD orders are shipped at your expense. FedEx is available at your expense.
Why are my user name and password not working?
When you first register on FotoSports.com you will receive an e-mail with a link you need to use to activate your account. Until you do this the user name and password you created will not work.
